The area: Haus Tilia Carinthia and Haus Romsicht Carinthia are located in a small, quiet village, where there are many walking and cycling opportunities, directly from the house. There are also many fun excursions to do, all within a maximum 30-minute drive. Some options are: At the Presseggersee (10 minutes drive) you can swim and sunbathe on the beach, but also walk or skate and for the little ones there is a nice amusement park Municipal swimming pool with slide and sunbathing lawn (3 minutes drive) or walking, is a beautiful walking route with beautiful views. You can also go here for ice cream or fries, for the enthusiast ;) There are several Alm villages nearby. The Garnitzenklamm (15 minutes) is a beautiful gorge/waterfall where you can go for a walk and enjoy the view. The Weissenssee (30 minutes) is beautiful for walking, skating or swimming. The Wörthersee has very beautiful blue clear water. Nice place to cycle, have a snack on a terrace, walk and/or swim. A visit to Velden or Klagenfurt am Wörthersee is also worthwhile. Faakersee (25 min) is a beautiful lake where you can swim. Here you can, for example, rent a whisper boat and enjoy the blue, clear water. Ski and hiking area Nassfeld is a 20-25 minute drive. Here you board the Millenium Express that takes you up. You can also go back tobogganing or climb and clamber in the climbing park at an altitude of 1700m. Gerlitzen (30 min) mountain railway, you can ski or enjoy the view and hang gliding in the summer. Italy is only a 20 minute drive away. Visit a leather market in a beautiful village where you can shop for everything (and still haggle on the price). You can be in Slovenia within 25 minutes. The tour takes you past the bunker museum (Würzenpass). In the Triglav National Park you can enjoy emerald green rivers. The park has the highest mountain in Slovenia. In short, there is a lot to do in this beautiful southern part of Carinthia. For each his own. Amarins is happy to give you tips during your stay. In the summer there are various festivities in the region. For example, the Feuerwehrfest, Kufenstechen, Beer Festival, etc. At these fun parties, people are dressed in traditional costumes and there is often live music. Everyone is welcome to participate. In winter you can go cross-country skiing, skating and skiing nearby. The ski bus stops almost next to the house and takes you to Dreiländereck or to Nassfeld/Millennium Express, among other places. The ski bus is free to use, provided you wear ski equipment. Nice and relaxing!
